ECB: Wunsch Officially Drops Dovish Bias - In Line With Our Expectations

Latest ECB speak from Belgian National Bank Governor Wunsch, speaking to Bloomberg. He re-iterates that policy is in a good place, and is "not making any bet, not even on the direction".

Wunsch notes that "I very officially dropped my slight dovish bias that I had over the last few months"

• We had expected this, and had already shifted him back to neutral on our ECB hawk-dove matrix. Although he seemed open to the idea of another cut earlier this year, we didn't feel comfortable assuming he still retained that view after a string of better-than-expected growth data.
