"Rio Tinto Launches Corruption Inquiry at Oyu Tolgoi Copper Mine" - BBG
Oyu Tolgoi announced it is conducting an internal investigation into allegations of corruption at its copper operations in Mongolia. Not a spread mover for now, but worth monitoring given its significance to Rio Tinto.
Oyu Tolgoi is jointly owned by the Government of Mongolia (34%) and Rio Tinto (66%). The mine is expected to produce up to 500,000 tonnes of copper per annum, making it the fourth-largest copper mine in the world.
