Germany’s monthly onshore wind additions declined in November, while solar PV additions rose to the highest level in three months, Bnetza data showed.
- Onshore wind additions stood at 344.3MW in November, down from 609.1MW in October.
- Wind additions were below the monthly expansion target of 772MW needed to reach the country’s planned onshore wind capacity of 115GW by 2030.
- Total onshore wind capacity stood at 67.41GW at the end of last month.
- So far this year, Germany issued 2,6235 onshore wind permits for 16.36GW of capacity.
- Solar PV capacity additions rose to 1.56GW in November, up from 1.23GW in October and the highest level since August.
- Levels were slightly below the monthly expansion target of 1.63GW needed to reach the country’s planned solar PV target of 215GW by 2030.
- Germany issued 30 solar PV permits for 345MW of capacity so far this year.
- Total solar PV capacity stood at 115.32GW at the end of November.
- Germany also added 15MW of new offshore wind capacity in November. Total offshore wind capacity stood at 9.23GW at the end of last month.
