POWER: Bnetza Approves Last Section of Ultranet Power Line

Bnetza has issued planning approval for the last sections of the Ultranet power line that is scheduled to be commissioned by the end of 2026, it said.
- The 342km high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line has a transmission capacity of 2GW and will transport electricity from Koblenz, North Rhine-Westphalia, to Marxheim, Baden-Württemberg, once completed.
- “The completion of the approval procedures for the major power lines is further proof that we are making progress with the expansion of the electricity grids in Germany and are thus making an important contribution to the success of the energy transition,” says Klaus Müller, Bnetza president, said.

Prices bounced Wednesday, despite the short-term bear cycle. Recent weakness has resulted in a print below the 50-day EMA, currently at 112-10+. A clear break of this average would undermine a bull theme and signal scope for a deeper retracement. This would open 111-13+, the Aug 18 low and the next key support. On the upside, initial firm resistance to watch is unchanged, at 113-00, the Sep 24 high.
