ITALY AUCTION PREVIEW: On offer next week / Cancellation

MEF has announced it will be looking to sell the following at its auction next Thursday, December 11:
- E2.5-3.0bln of the 2.35% Jan-29 BTP (ISIN: IT0005660052)
- E0.75-1.0bln of the 2.70% Oct-30 BTP (ISIN: IT0005654642)
- E0.75-1.0bln of the 3.00% Oct-29 BTP (ISIN: IT0005611055)
MEF "moreover announces that, taking into the cash management activity foreseen for the next weeks, the BOT and BTP Short Term auctions scheduled for the 29th of December, and the medium-long term bonds auctions scheduled for the 30th of December, will not take place."
- The capital market auction cancellation comes as expected by us. We would have expected the Dec 29 BOT auction to be held, however.
