UKRAINE: Zelenskyy: Trump-Putin Talks Must Open Path To Three-Way Discussion
Reuters reports comments from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy ahead of today's Trump-Putin summit. Says it is "time to end the war" and vital that the summit "opens up the path towards a just peace [and a] substantive three-way discussion between the leaders of Ukraine, the United States, and Russia." Zelenskyy: "We are counting on the US."
- Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump - asked whether territorial swaps are on the table in discussions - says, "They will be discussed, but I've got to let Ukraine make that decision, and I think they'll make a proper decision. But I'm not here to negotiate for Ukraine."
- On whether the US will provide security guarantees, Trump says there may be a possibility along with "Europe and other countries", but not under the NATO banner.
- Asked whether he will talk about economic opportunities with Putin, Trump says this could occur "if we make progress." Says Putin is bringing "a lot of business people" with him. Trump: "I like that because they want to do business. [...] But we're not doing business until we get the war settled."
- On Russia's continued strikes on Ukraine, Trump says Putin thinks it "helps him make a better deal [but] it actually hurts him."
- Separately, the NYT reports that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and Gen. Dan Caine, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will both be in attendance. Neither is listed as travelling on Air Force One, and it was initially unclear whether they would be in Alaska for the talks.

US: Rescissions Vote Expected 13:30ET, House To Take Second Run At Crypto Vote
Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R-SD) has teed up a ‘vote-a-rama’ on President Trump’s USD$9 billion rescissions package at around 13:30 ET 18:30 BST today, after OMB director Vought yesterday agreed to remove USD$400 million of cuts from PEFAR, a George W. Bush-era HIV/AIDS prevention program.

- Punchbowl notes Dems are not whipping against the crypto bills: “…we expect several Democrats to back the GENIUS Act — which would introduce regulations to stablecoins — but oppose the CLARITY Act. That bill would reorganize the responsibilities of federal financial regulators for crypto.”
- House Ways and Means Committee will meet at 09:00 ET 14:00 BST to discuss altering the tax code per the crypto regulatory changes under consideration. The panel will hear testimony from industry players, including the Coin Center Director of Policy, the Blockchain Association CEO, and the VP at Fidelity Investments.
