European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has survived a vote of no confidence in the European Parliament. It was widely anticipated that the required thresholds to oust VdL and her College of Commissioners (two-thirds in favour, with at least half of the 720 MEPs voting). In the event, just 175 MEPs voted in favour, with 360 against and 18 abstentions.
