US NATGAS: US Northeast Natgas Prices Trend Lower

In the US Northeast, regional hubs are pricing lower today as production remains robust while demand falls.
- Transco zone 6 NY is down 10.5 cents/MMBtu on the day, while Transco non-NY is 3.5 cents/MMBtu lower, according to NGI.
- Eastern Gas (Dominion) South is pricing at 1 cent/MMBtu higher, according to NGI
- Northeast demand is currently at 39.5bcf/d, down by around 0.34bcf/d. Demand is 3.36bcf/d above the 30-day average.
- Production in the region is around 35.98bcf/d, up around up around0.27bcf/d on the day.
- Production from the Appalachia shale play is 35.41bcf/d, up around up around0.18bcf/d on the day. This compares to a 30-day average of 35.43bcf/d.
- Imports from Canada are down to around 99 mcf/d today. This compares to 69 mcf/d yesterday.
- Feedgas exports to Cove Point LNG are currently at 919 mcf/d , up around 7 mcf/d today. This is stronger than the 30-day average of 905 mcf/d.
- This puts the daily supply deficit at around 2.97bcf/d narrowing by 0.55 bcf/d on the day.
- The NE region refers to New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland. All flow and production data is from Bloomberg.

RRP usage falls back under $100B to a new low of $92.863B this afternoon from Friday's $104.877B. Today's low compares to $94.489B on Thursday Jan 16 - then the lowest level since mid-April 2021. The number of counterparties rises to 26 from 23 prior.
