Talks between Iran and the US look set to get underway on 12 April, even if the format of these discussions is unclear. Speaking alongside Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu in the Oval Office on 7 April, US President Donald Trump said, "We have a very big meeting on Saturday [with Iran], and we're dealing with them directly... And maybe a deal is going to be made, that would be great." Iran has confirmed that talks will take place, but pushed back on the prospect of direct talks.
