POWER: URE to Launch CHP Tender on 22-24 September

Poland’s URE will launch the third CHP tender on 22-24 September, ISB news reported.
- This will be third out of four tenders for the technology this year.
- "In the September auction, the premium may cover the sale of nearly 16.5 TWh of electricity from high-efficiency cogeneration, and the value of available support is over PLN 152 million," URE said.
- The previous two auctions covered a total of almost 95% of the value of all support available for this year.
- In the previous round, URE awarded nearly PLN1.5bn (€350mn) in support to five producers, securing over 6TWh.
- The cogeneration premiums awarded in the auction ranged from a minimum of PLN220/MWh to a maximum of PLN248.80/MWh.
