POLAND: Trzaskowski Leads Nawrocki 32%-23% in Latest Poll

Warsaw Mayor and party candidate of the ruling Civic Platofrm Rafal Trzaskowski has increased lead over his rival Karol Nawrocki, backed by the opposition Law & Justice party, in Poland’s presidential election, according to a survey by Pollster for Super Express tabloid. The election is scheduled for May 18, and a run-off between the top two candidates will take place two weeks later if nobody wins at least 50% of the vote in the first round.

  • Support for Trzaskowski fell by 1ppt to 32.3%, while backing for Nawrocki fell 2.3ppts to 22.7%.
  • Third comes far-right candidate Slawomir Mentzen with 13.6% of the vote.
  • The survey was conducted among 1,077 adult Poles on May 7 and May 8.
