RUSSIA: Trump Privately Says Putin Isn't Ready to End the War, WSJ Report

- On a call Monday, President Trump told European leaders that Russian President Vladimir Putin isn't ready to end the Ukraine war because he thinks he is winning, WSJ reported citing three people familiar with the conversation.The acknowledgment was what European leaders had long believed about Putin – but it was the first time they were hearing it from Trump.
- Separately, a senior official in Japan’s Finance Ministry says G7 finance authorities are discussing at a working level what to do with the price cap for Russian oil, Bloomberg report. Oil price has come down significantly so it’s natural to think whether a price cap of $60 per barrel is meaningful, he says.
- President Vladimir Putin holds a meeting with the government on investment projects in industry, while the Bank of Russia reports weekly international reserves data in the afternoon.

- The bid in Estoxx futures has lacked traction, after Cash Equities gapped lower on the Open, caught up with some of the price action seen in Futures.
- Estoxx futures continues to trade within that 135 points range seen last Week, less volatile to some of the US Equity sessions.
- Last Week's range of 4786.00/4921.00 (low/high) will be seen as the first support/resistance.
