Russia plans to cut ESPO loadings from its Far East Kozmino port in September to 4m mt, down from 4.2m mt in August, sources told Reuters.
- This equates to around 1m b/d and is around 2% lower on a daily basis in September compared to August, Reuters calculations showed.
- Oil exports from Kozmino had been on the rise since July, holding steady at around 1m b/d as the pipeline system and port capacity had increased, traders told Reuters.
- ESPO is the flagship crude grade for Asian markets loading from the Far East.
- Russia has tried to maximise Far East loadings after European countries banned seaborne imports of its oil in December 2022.
