Poland’s JSW reaffirmed its 2025 coal output target of over 13 mn/t after producing 6.2 mn/ t in 1H25, despite mine incidents set to cut 450,000t, the firm said, cited by ISB News.
- Deputy President Adam Rozmushree said that one-off incidents at JSW mines in 2025, including the Borynia-Zofiowka mine accident in September, will weigh on output in 2025-26.
- Additionally, hard coal sales in Poland totalled 3.18 mn/t in July 2025, up from 3.06 mn/t in June but down from 3.29 mn/t in July 2024, data from ARP show.
- While, net hard coal production reached 3.56 mn/t, compared with 3.09 mn/t in June and 3.63 mn/t in July 2024.
- Polish coal stocks at the end of July stood at 5.65 mn/t, slightly up from 5.4 mn/t in June and almost unchanged from 5.64 mn/t in July 2024.
