Poland’s economic ministry plans to propose a CfD for energy-intensive industries by 2026 to support the sector by lowering energy costs, economic minister Krzysztof Paszyk said, according to PAP, cited by Reuters.
- The government plans to introduce CfDs for energy-intensive industries at PLN250 (€58.42/MWh) instead of the current PLN490 €114.51/MWh.
- "There can be no economic development without strong industry, and in Poland this largely means energy-intensive enterprises," Paszyk said.
- "Our goal is to stabilise energy prices for the sector because that is the biggest problem today. Our target is PLN 250 per megawatt hour instead of PLN 490 today. This is a proposal that will guarantee competitiveness for these companies," he added.
