• IPT: €BMK PerpNC5.5 4.875% area
• FV: 4.375%
• Senior curve trades very rich for OMV. The recent OMVAV 3.25 Sep 31 is z+59. We will take 55bps for 5.5yr but if we interpolate to OMVAV 0.75 30 we get 49bps.
• Sub_Sen: REPSM 138bps; ENIIM 123bps; BPLN 112bps. OMVAV at 152bps and Sen @ 55bps gives 4.375%. Wider Sub_Sen required to compensate for the tight senior curve.
• Yield: ENIIM NC31 4.35%; REPSM NC31 4.41%; BPLN NC31 4.37%. OMVAV is 3 months longer so needs to be just outside ENIIM.
• Historically OMVAV 2.875 NC29 and ENIIM 3.375 NC29 have traded with 2bps of each other with a range 10bps s.d.
• Expected size is given as Benchmark but the NC25 is €750m which may give a clue as to the likely issuance.
• Docs: callable 90 days before First Reset Date. This may cause confusion as with the NC25.

JGBs have rallied off recent lows and for now, however a bearish theme remains intact following the reversal that started Apr 7. A continuation lower would signal scope for an extension towards 136.57, a Fibonacci projection. On the upside, a reversal higher would instead refocus attention on 142.95, the Apr 7 high. The first important resistance to watch is 141.48, the May 2 high. A break of this level would be viewed as an early bullish signal.
Treasury reported a record $16.5B in customs/excise taxes on May 22, reflecting the large increase in tariff rates that went into effect in April.

Treasury's latest estimate of the size of "extraordinary measures" available to use "in order to prevent the United States from defaulting on its obligations as Congress deliberate[s] on increasing the debt limit" is down to $67B on May 21 (of an available $299B), vs $82B a week earlier.
