CROSS ASSET: US Equity Futures Down On Nvidia Export Restrictions

US equity futures have re-opened lower, led by the tech side. Nvidia and some related chip makers are down in after hours trade as news filtered out that Nvidia will require a license to export certain chips to China (see this BBG link). Nvidia reported a likely $5.5bn charge in relation to the restrictions.
- Nasdaq futures are off around 1.2%, which follows close to a flat result for Tuesday US cash trading. SPX futures are off around 0.75% at this stage.
- Headlines also crossed that the US has launched a critical minerals probe ahead of possible tariffs (per BBG).
- In the FX space, AUD and NZD have ticked down, while JPY, EUR and CHF are up slightly. Aggregate moves are modest though.
- US bond futures are little changed in the first part of trade.
