TURKEY: New TRY 30bln Support Package Launched for SMEs

- Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek posted the following on X: “We facilitate SMEs' access to financing. We are launching our new guarantee package, which offers a total of 30 billion TL in credit opportunities to our manufacturing SMEs, which can be used as both investment and business loans. While we continue our determined fight against inflation, we continue to support our real sector with selective policies.”
- President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denied he is trying to change the constitution so that he can stay on when his term ends in 2028, BBC report. "We want the new constitution not for ourselves, but for our country. I have no interest in being re-elected or running for office again," he told reporters on Thursday.
- The President of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce says businesses need to consider alternative markets for production because the suppression of exchange rates is expected to continue while labour costs will remain high.

A clear break of this EMA would be a concern for bulls.
