UK companies see no shortage of credit availability and can access all the funds required, Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey told a House of Lords committee on Tuesday.
Bailey said both discussion with companies on regional visits and the BOE's own Credit Conditions Survey showed an ample supply of credit to meet corporate demand.
Demand for corporate lending from small and large-sized businesses slightly increased in Q3 while demand from medium firms was unchanged, the Bank's Q3 Credit Conditions Survey showed. The survey expects demand to increase slightly in Q4.
