Turkish inflation expectations continued to fall in October, according to the results of Koc University’s latest Household Inflation Expectations Survey, as year-end inflation expectations dipped from 65% in September to 60%, and 12-month-ahead expectations dropped from 58% to 53%. Households’ 12-months-ahead inflation expectations stood at 52.99% in September, according to the CBRT’s Sectoral Expectations Survey, down from 54.07 in August.
In September 2024 the equivalent figures stood at 102% (Koc) and 71.56% (CBRT), indicating a substantial narrowing of the difference in inflation perceptions between the two surveys over the last 12 months, in addition to an absolute decline.
