Eurozone headline inflation slowed in February, despite a pick-up in unprocessed food prices, Eurostat said on Monday.
Headline inflation fell to 2.4% from 2.5% in January, while core inflation slipped to 2.6% from 2.7%. Service sector inflation, closely watched by the European Central Bank, fell to 3.7% from 3.9%.
The data will holds no surprises for the ECB, which should be left with little obstalce to a further 25-basis-point cut in the deposit rate when it meets on Thursday. Ssee MNI SOURCES: ECB To Revise 2025 Inflation Slightly Higher )
