Mexico's decision to raise import tariffs by up to 50% on countries without a trade agreement with them will significantly harm the interests of partners, including China, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said in a statement released on Thursday.
The Ministry also reiterrated an investigation into trade and investment barriers imposed by Mexico was launched in late September and was currently underway. China urges Mexico to carefully consider the potential consequences of this decision and take a prudent approach moving forward, the Ministry said.
