MNI BRIEF: Latest EU-US Trade Talks 'Very Constructive"

The latest round of technical-level trade talks between the EU and US in Washington Monday were "very constructive", according to a European Commission official.

Although when asked about a report that the US administration has pushed its negotiating partners to provide their best offers by Wednesday, EC Trade Spokesperson Olof Gill said he would not provide a "running commentary". (see MNI: EU States Doubt US Will Accept Trade Offer-Officials )

Gill noted that Trade Commissioner Maros Sefcovic and USTR Jamieson Greer would meet in Paris on Wednesday.
