MNI BRIEF: Greece's Pierrakakis Elected Eurogroup Chair

Greek Finance Budget Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis has been elected chair of the Eurogroup, the policy-coordinating group for Euro Area finance ministers. 

Pierrakakis beat of Belgain Budget Minister Vincent van Peteghem. The position was vacant following the resignation of Ireland's Pascal O'Donohoe, whois leaving to take up an appointment at the IMF.
