Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari said Wednesday he's still keenly focused on bringing inflation all the way back to 2% despite recent progress.

"We’ve made a lot of progress in bringing inflation down. We have more work to do. That’s a big challenge and we’re very focused on that," he said, adding that inflation is currently hovering between 2.5-3% depending on the measure.

"The biggest challenge for us right now is to finish the job. Some of the policy uncertainty [in Washington] is complicating our analysis of the economy." (See MNI INTERVIEW: Fed Backing Away From 2025 Cuts, Says Lacker)
