Risks to inflation are balanced, but China will play an important role both from the spillovers from the potential outcome of U.S.-China trade and the rise of Chinese imports in Europe.

De Guindos said that Chinese exports are not only a downside risk for euro area inflation but could also hit European growth as the country’s exports are becoming more similar to European ones. (see MNI INTERVIEW: ECB's Wunsch Sees Less Chance Of Another Cut )
