China and the U.S. have further confirmed details of the framework for implementing the consensus reached by the two heads of state on June 5 and consolidating the outcomes of the Geneva economic and trade talks, the Ministry of Commerce said on Friday.
China will review and approve qualified export applications for controlled items in accordance with the law, and the U.S. will cancel a series of restrictive measures taken against China accordingly, the spokesperson added.
Chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers told MNI the U.S. would continue to see if improvements can be made to the trading relationship with China once the Geneva deal was implemented. (See RPT-MNI INTERVIEW:Miran Sees US Trade Deal)
