The Bank of Korea on Thursday, as widely expected, kept its policy interest rate unchanged at 2.50% for a fourth straight meeting, as the central bank remains cautious about easing policy amid elevated housing and real-estate prices, Wowkorea reported.

The bank is also monitoring signs of a slowing economy linked to global trade policy uncertainties, while economists expect the central bank to begin lowering the policy rate in the first quarter of 2026.

The next policy meeting is scheduled for Jan. 15, 2026.
