MNI BRIEF: BOJ's Nakamura Promoted To Executive Director

The Bank of Japan promoted on Tuesday Koji Nakamura, director-general in the Research and Statistics Department, to one of the six new executive director roles.

Nakamura is former general manager for the Americas and chief representative in New York and director-general in the BOJ’s Monetary Affairs Department, and in the Financial System and Bank Examination Department.

Nakamura replaced Takeshi Kato who was the executive director in charge of monetary policy following the end of his four-year term on Monday.
