Local media reports that Minister of Tourism and Sports and Secretary-General of the Pheu Thai Party Sorawong Thienthong has claimed the House of Representatives is in the process of being dissolved for a snap election following the submission of a royal decree. Asked by reporters whether parliamentary dissolution was an option, the replied said "Yes, it is. In fact, it is something we are already doing. It is not a threat. The best way out for the country is to return power to the people, a process we must undertake with the utmost care and caution."
