Masdar and Iberdrola achieved the financial close for the UK’s 1.4GW East Anglia Three offshore wind project, Masdar said.
- The firms secured around €4.1bln (£3.6bln) to fund the construction of the €5.2bln project.
- Earlier this month, both firms announced they had reached an agreement to co-invest in the project.
- Each firm will have a 50% stake in the East Anglia Three project.
- The offshore wind farm is scheduled to be operational by Q4 2026.
- The project has been awarded with a 15-year CfD in the AR4 and AR6 auctions in addition to a PPA with Amazon.
