An LNG ship loaded with fuel is heading to the Red Sea, in a sign of easing tensions, Bloomberg reports.
• The Salalah LNG vessel is currently heading toward the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
• LNG vessels have essentially halted all transport via this route since Jan. 2024. It has been months since the last LNG vessel travelled through the Red Sea.
• The Iran-backed Houthis promised to stop attacking ships in the Red Sea, except those flagged in Israel, following the Israel-Hamas ceasefire deal on Jan. 19.
