RUSSIA: Kremlin Confirms Putin Told Trump Of Response To Ukraine Drone Strike

Reuters reports comments from Kremlin spox Dmitry Peskov regarding the latest call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin. Confirms that Putin told Trump Russia would respond to recent Ukrainian attacks. Says that Putin told Trump this would be "how and when the Russian military deems it necessary to be". 

• These comments are in line with a Truth Social post from 4 June attributed to Trump.
• Peskov reiterates that Russia has "close partnership relations" with Tehran, and that Putin has said he is willing to take advantage of this to resolve the Iran nuclear issue.
• Says that the two leaders did not make any plans for a face-to-face meeting, although there is a 'general understanding' that it is necessary.
• The two leaders did not discuss the US lifting sanctions.
• On the collapse of two bridges close to Ukraine, Russia claims this was "terrorism" and says Kyiv orchestrated their alleged bombing.
• Peskov says Putin supports Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's stance that contacts at the working level between Russia and Ukraine should continue.
