CZK: Koruna Loses Ground Amid Little In Way Of Local Market-Moving Headlines

EUR/CZK has crept higher amid weakness in the CE3 FX space, even as headline flow out of Czechia has been very limited today. The pair last deals +0.039 at 25.115 and bulls look for a move through the 200-DMA (25.128), 50-DMA (25.133) and 100-DMA (25.202) before targeting Jan 17 high of 25.317. Conversely, bears look for a dip towards key support from the psychologically significant 25.0 figure.

• Czechia and Slovakia made another attempt to normalise bilateral relations amid ongoing frictions over foreign policy. Top diplomats from the two countries met in Prague yesterday, but tensions resurfaced as Slovak Foreign Minister reiterated allegations of Czech interference in Slovakia's domestic politics.
• Prime Minister Petr Fiala will dial in to a second French-sponsored summit on Ukraine later today. Local media outlets reported that Prague was disappointed with President Macron's decision not to invite its leaders for the first summit held Tuesday, despite Czechia's commitment to supporting Ukrainian refugees and war effort.
• CZGB yields still sit a tad higher across the curve, despite ticking away from highs.
• The PX Index crossed above 2,000 yesterday and stays above that level.
