NATGAS: Israel’s Tamar Natgas Field Closes for Maintenance

Israel’s offshore Tamar natural gas field closed for planned maintenance Oct. 22 that is expected to last around 12 days, according to Reuters citing operator Chevron.
- Tamar s Israel’s main domestic gas supplier. The larger Leviathan field off Israel’s Med coast and a key supplier to Egypt and Jordan remains operational.
- "We will continue to produce natural gas and supply customers in Israel and in the region from the Leviathan reservoir," Chevron said in a statement.
- Tamar’s output under normal conditions ranges between 7.1-8.5 mcm/d.
