HUNGARY: Government Expands SME Support Scheme by HUF 50bln

The government has decided on a HUF 50bln (EUR120m) top-up for an SME support scheme as part of the ‘Demjan Sandor Programme’, bringing the total allocation to HUF 130bln (EUR 320m), MTI report Gergely Gulyas said at a weekly press briefing.
Gulyas said the funding, to be matched by businesses' own contributions, would support HUF 260bln in digital and energy investments as well as capacity expansions. Around 1,800 SMEs could benefit from the scheme, he added.
