"*EMBRAER MAY REVISE BUSINESS PLAN DUE TO US TARIFFS: CEO" - Bbg
Embraer CEO Francisco Gomes Neto quoted BRL20bn (USD3.58bn) by 2030 as the impact of higher U.S tariffs as the cost per airplane could rise by USD9mn with a 50% tariff from the U.S. It would make the sale of E1 aircraft to the U.S impossible.
The company had meetings with the U.S. Government to discuss the tariff impact and believes a negotiated solution is possible. Gomes Neto said the company could meet its latest guidance with the current 10% tariff.
If given time Embraer could adapt as increasing U.S production would take time and money.
EMBRBZ 2035s were last quoted T+121bp, 2bp tighter today, 33bp tighter since March 31st and 37bp tighter since February 2025 issuance.
