IRAN: Dep FM-US Neets To Recognise Enrichment Rights To Restart Nuclear Talks
Posting on X, Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi outlines what conditions need to be met for Tehran to resume nuclear talks with the US. These include "gaining Iran's trust" (adding that "Iran does not trust the United States in any way"), "not using the negotiations as a platform for hidden agendas such as military action", "respect and recognition of Iran's rights under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, including enrichment in accordance with Iran's desired needs; and lifting sanctions".
- These comments come a day ahead of Gharibabadi's meeting with his counterparts from the E3 nations set to take place in Istanbul. Baku-based AnewZ reports Ghraibabadi saying "...negotiations with the European powers – France, Germany and the UK – in Turkiye will remain inconclusive in the event that the European side keeps matching its policy on Tehran’s nuclear program with the US. Speaking to reporters at the UN headquarters following his three days of negotiations at the world body, he said if the European troika demands snapback of nuclear sanctions, Iran is determined to react. “We will be obliged to react,” he added, “A section of Iran’s response has been decided in advance.”
- Gharibabadi also confirms headlines from earlier in the week confirming that an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) team would be invited to talks in Tehran, saying a team would arrive "in the next three weeks to review Iran-Agency relations under the current circumstances, without inspections of nuclear facilities by this delegation."

But I’m really unhappy if Israel is going out this morning[...]. We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f--- they’re doing."
- Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps claims that it fired 14 missiles at Israeli military centres during its last wave of attacks, but that these were sent off shortly before the ceasefire came into effect.

A break of this level would highlight a stronger reversal and undermine the bullish theme. This would open 129.30, the May 22 low. Key short-term resistance and the bull trigger, has been defined at 131.95, the Jun 13 high.
- A bullish condition in Gilt futures remains intact and recent weakness appears corrective. Monday’s strong gains reinforce the current bullish theme. Key short-term support has been defined 92.23, the Jun 16 low. A break of this level is required to undermine a bull theme and signal scope for a deeper retracement. On the upside, sights are on 93.68, the Jun 13 high and bull trigger.
