- Powell press conference gets underway, opens with some of the typical commentary of previous meetings about being strongly committed to bringing down inflation and having the tools to do so; without price stability, will not achieve a sustained strong labor market.
- Continue to anticipate that ongoing increases will be appropriate. Policy moving purposefully to return inflation to target. Will likely need restrictive stance of policy for some time.
