  • President Trump pushed back Yesterday on Back and Forth traded negotiation, adding that the Press should stop asking him if deals have been done, when asked if there was anything the Canadian leader could say to convince him to lift the tariffs on his country, Trump said “no.”
  • USDCAD fell to the lowest seen since October Yesterday, but has recovered Overnight to trade near flat now.
  • The Yen is the early worst Performer, albeit by just 0.34% now, off its worst overnight level, but still trades well within Yesterday's range versus the Dollar.
  • The broader picture for the Dollar, it is in the red against all G10, be 5 days, 1-3 Months or YTD.
  • Best performer YTD is still the SEK, up 15.44%.

USD: The CHF and Yen lead the early gains in G10

  • The Swiss Franc and the Yen are the best performer into the European session, a continuation of late and from the Overnight session, as they act as safer Haven Currencies give the huge Risk Off Tone.
  • While the USDJPY fell all the way to print a 144.82 low overnight, it has since recovered some 70 pips, but still trades in a wide 230 pips.
  • USDCHF is down 1.27% and is eyeing a test to 0.8477, Friday's low.
