• ARGENT 35s up about 12 points so far, testing the high set back in early January 2025 and consistent with optimism returning for Milei’s reform program. Milei’s LLA party won 40.66%, 64 deputies in the Lower House vs 31.7% and 44 deputies for the Peronists while the conservative leaning United Provinces party won 6.95% and 8 deputies. • What is next is agreements with provincial governors and allies in the PRO party to reach consensus on the way forward as well as cabinet changes and implement tax and labor reforms.
• Milei does not intend to collaborate with the Peronist opposition, particularly mentioning Governor Kicillof of the Province of Buenos Aires as part of the problem not the solution. Milei underscored his alliance with ex-President Macri and the PRO party and acknowledged their support.
• President Trump and U.S. Treasury Secretary Bessent took a bow as well, saying the Argentine people affirmed the U.S. decision to help the country and took some credit for the outcome.
