Speaking to Fox Business, White House economic adviser Kevin Hassett says that the administration is "confident" in the success of the appeal launched against the International Trade Court ruling that suspends a large swathe of President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs. Says that the ruling "will not affect ongoing trade deals", and that he "still expects more trade deals in the coming weeks." Claims that "three trade deals are basically done". Commentary around the progress of trade deals would indicate that countries such as Japan, South Korea, India, and Switzerland are the most likely candidates to secure a swift agreement with the US, following on from the UK's deal earlier in May.
