HUNGARY: US Charge d’Affaires to Comment on US-Hungary Bilateral Ties

- US charge d’affaires Robert Palladino will speak about bilateral ties after Prime Minister Viktor Orban’s meeting with President Donald Trump earlier in the month. His press conference is scheduled for 16:00GMT/17:00CET.
- In a post on Facebook this morning, Prime Minister Orban offered familiar criticism of the use of EU funds for Ukraine. There has been little other domestic news flow of note otherwise, with much of the local focus still on yesterday’s rate decision – at which both the base rate and hawkish guidance were unchanged. Our review of the meeting, with a summary of analyst views, will be released later today.
- No major data releases are scheduled for today, or for the remainder of the week.
