January 24 – LATAM Daily Oil Summary: Kinder Morgan Sees Mexico Driving Nat Gas Demand Higher

  • Bloomberg reports KM CEO Kim Dang said “we continue to see additional growth opportunities in natural gas between LNG, exports to Mexico power and industrial growth.
  • Nat gas exports to Mexico will rise by 3 bcf/d by 2030, per the company’s quarterly presentation. Mexico imports around 6.5 bcf/d, and KM has 50% of that. Mexico relies on US imports for around 70% of its Nat gas consumption.
