July production from Norway’s Johan Sverdrup is expected to fall to the lowest since February 2023 due to drilling of a fourth well this year, according to Bloomberg.
- Johan Sverdrup loadings are scheduled to fall to 684k b/d in July from 20 cargoes, down from 740k b/d in June from 22 cargoes.
- The drop is due to the first retrofit multilateral well on the field, said Equinor spokesperson Gisle Ledel Johannessen.
- “We will have marginally reduced production from Johan Sverdrup for a short period,” he said
- Deliveries for the year are expected to be “close to the levels from 2023 and 2024.”
