OIL: Iraq-Kurdistan Agree to Extend Oil Export Agreement

Rudaw reported yesterday that the Iraqi federal government, Kurdistan regional government, and oil companies agreed to renew and extend the export agreement for an additional three months.
- Oil exports from the Kurdistan region resumed on September 27th after exports had been suspended since March 2023.
- Iraq’s Deputy Head of SOMO stated ~200 kb/d are being exported from the Kurdistan oil region fields.
- Under the agreement, Kurdistan committed to supplying at least 230 kb/d to SOMO for export, with an additional 50 kb/d committed to domestic consumption in Kurdistan.
