US STOCKS: Midday Equities Roundup: Stocks Gain on Efforts to De-Escalate War

  • Stocks climbed to the best levels since mid- to late-March early Wednesday amid ongoing efforts at de-escalating the war with Iran, Trump reiterating plans to leave the in the next 2-3 weeks.
  • The White House looks to build an off-ramp for Trump, even as the president continues to threaten Iran to re-open the Straight of Hormuz. President Trump is expected to address the nation tonight at 2100ET.
  • Information Technology sector shares led advances in the first half, shares of Western Digital outperforming at +11.7% while the following gained 9% to 10%: Micron Technology, Lumentum Holdings, Intel Corp, Sandisk Corp and Seagate Technology Holdings.
