- Still weaker - US equity indexes are paring losses Monday, buoyed by energy sector shares as crude prices surge after the US & Israel attacked Iran early Saturday.
- West Texas crude prices are over $71.00/bbl at the moment, underpinning oil and gas stocks in the first half.
- Additional support cam from cryptocurrency financial services with Bitcoin rallying over 5% in the first half, while defense and select technology sector shares also outperformed in early trade.
- Conversely, consumer discretionary, materials and consumer staples sector shares continued to underperform.
