US LNG feedgas averaged 18.7 Bcf/d this week, up 0.3 Bcf/d from the prior week’s levels. The last two weeks have been largely devoid of any major operational declines across all Gulf Coast facilities, with flows holding above 18 Bcf/d for the last week.

  • Golden Pass is beginning to indicate the start of LNG operations, with gas nominations to the facility reaching 0.3 Bcf/d several times this week. However, the facility has shown a 0.3 Bcf/d nomination in the ID1 cycle, and then a revision downward by the ID3 cycle. The facility has yet to show consistent feedgas nominations, indicating movement into a full ramp of LNG making has not yet occurred.
  • Port Arthur LNG began construction of Tank C, suggesting that Sempra is planning to complete construction of Phase 1 and Phase 2 simultaneously. The two phases are expected to share common infrastructure, but the start on tank C indicated phase 2 could be online earlier than guided.
  • Inner LNG tank wall construction began for tanks 1 and 2 at Rio Grande LNG and for Louisiana LNG tanks 1 and 2. Inner wall construction can take 10-14 months.
