STIR: US Rates Mildly Lower On The Day, Less Reactive To Mixed Geopol Headlines

US rates are mildly lower on the day, giving back some of yesterday’s second half rally.
There was limited reaction to earlier AP reports that mediators' efforts to extend a ceasefire between the US and Iran have made progress although on the flip side recent headlines of Iran warning against a continuation of the US blockade are helping keep rates towards session lows.
Cumulative cuts from 3.64% effective: 0bp Apr, 0bp Jun, 2bp Jul, 3.5bp Sep, 5bp Oct, 9.5bp Dec building to 17bp with Jun 2027.
SOFR futures are currently up to 2 ticks through U7-M8 contracts as opposed to recent moves being led by front reds.
The SOFR terminal implied yield of 3.37% (H8) closed at 3.35% yesterday for its lowest close since Mar 18. It compares with a range of 3.075% (Mar 2) - 3.55% (Mar 26) for closes since first US-Israel strikes on Iran on Feb 28.
